Terms of Service

The ground rules for a person-first social network.

Updated September 18, 2026

About Someone

Someone connects people through profiles, posts, discovery and communication. Everyone is someone. These terms apply to Someone, including its public pages and any account features that become available.

Public browsing and discovery are available. Registration and signed-in actions are currently unavailable. Messaging, Meet, subscriptions, Someone Pro billing, Hire, Pay and Paid Access purchases are not currently available. Descriptions of these capabilities apply only when they are enabled; their appearance in a profile or policy is not an offer to transact.

Someone is operated by the individual business operator responsible for the service. Someone is distinct from other products linked through the network.

Eligibility and account responsibility

Someone is for people age 18 or older. Users under 18 may not create or use an account. You must provide truthful eligibility and account information. If Someone learns that an account belongs to someone under 18, the account may be restricted or removed. Use Someone only where you can lawfully do so and comply with these terms.

When accounts become available, provide accurate account information, protect access credentials, and take responsibility for actions through your account. Choose a handle and profile that do not impersonate another person or falsely imply official status. Act for a business, publication or organization only if authorized.

Your content and rights

You are responsible for your posts, replies, media, profile information and organization or publication content. Share only material you have the right to use, including permission needed from people depicted.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Someone a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate and provide the service, subject to its visibility settings. This does not transfer ownership.

Removing content from public display does not necessarily erase retained records, lawful preservation copies or copies independently made by others. See Privacy and Copyright for relevant boundaries.

Conduct and safety

Human trafficking, sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, child sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming or exploitation of minors, prostitution or commercial sexual services, non-consensual sexual content and sexual coercion are prohibited.

Threats, harassment, stalking, intimidation, doxxing, fraud, scams, financial exploitation, impersonation, identity misuse, extortion, illegal goods or services and other unlawful activity are prohibited.

Aiding, abetting, facilitating, encouraging, promoting, organizing, assisting or supporting prohibited conduct is also prohibited.

The Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines explain these requirements. Do not circumvent blocks, message controls or account restrictions.

Feeds and relationships

Profiles, usernames, posts, replies, likes, reposts and public discovery help people find one another. When enabled, Following, bookmarks, notifications and messaging help manage those relationships. Ranking does not guarantee reach or visibility. See Privacy for personalization and private-data boundaries.

Follow, Message, Meet, Subscribe, Hire and Pay describe different capabilities. Availability depends on the feature and the profile owner’s settings. A label does not mean the capability is active. Message requests and blocks must be respected.

Verification and Someone Pro

Verified is distinct from Pro. Payment, subscriptions and Someone Pro do not automatically verify identity. A verified status reflects a specific review status, not a universal guarantee of character, expertise, professional qualifications or safety.

Someone does not guarantee user truthfulness, identity merely because a profile exists, quality of services, employment or subscription outcomes, successful relationships, another person’s availability, or outcomes controlled by payment providers.

Conditional economic services and integrations

Someone Pro billing, subscriptions, Hire, Pay and Paid Access checkout are unavailable today. Prices and applicable purchase, renewal, cancellation and refund terms must be shown before any future purchase. See Pricing and Refunds and Cancellations for the current state.

Subscribers are people subscribing to an actor; Subscriptions are actors a user subscribes to. Their private billing information is not public profile information. Normal messaging is not universally a paid service.

Meet may hand off to Go Find Someone only when that integration is available and explicitly enabled by the profile owner; it does not automatically disclose private dating status. Hire is not a live hiring marketplace; Market remains the source of provider and service details where integrated. Pay may use Pay Someone Today or other configured payment infrastructure. Someone is not presented as a bank, wallet or money transmitter and does not offer custody of user funds. The profile Support section groups Subscribe and Pay options; it does not make currently unavailable transactions live.

External products have their own terms and privacy practices. Check the destination and terms before using an external service.

Moderation, restrictions and ending access

Content may be removed and accounts restricted, suspended or terminated for violations or legal reasons. Severe violations may warrant immediate action. See Moderation and Appeals for reporting and how to request reconsideration.

The service may be interrupted, limited or changed. Someone does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the accuracy or suitability of user content. Nothing here excludes rights or obligations that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
