Delete Your Account

How to delete your SOMEONE account, which FollowSomeone and MessageSomeone share, on the web, in the Android apps, or by email.

Aktualisiert am 18. September 2026

On the web

Sign in at followsomeone.com and open /settings/data. If you have not signed in within the last hour, confirm it is you, then choose Delete account and type your username. Cancel any active Someone Pro or creator subscription first; the page lists anything that must be settled before deletion can start.

In the Android apps

SOMEONE (FollowSomeone) app: Settings, then Delete account. MessageSomeone app: Settings, then Delete account, which opens the same deletion page on followsomeone.com. MessageSomeone uses your SOMEONE account, so there is no separate MessageSomeone account to delete.

Without the app or website

Email privacy@followsomeone.com from the email address of your account with the subject Delete my account and your username. We confirm the request with that address before scheduling deletion.

What is deleted, and when

Your profile and posts disappear right away and you are signed out everywhere, including the Android apps; their notification registrations are removed. You have 30 days to change your mind by signing in and cancelling. After that, we permanently erase your profile, posts, photos and videos, follows, likes, saved posts, blocks, mutes, notifications, messaging settings and approvals, sessions, passkeys registered with Someone, and settings. Your username is held for 30 more days so nobody can impersonate you, then becomes available again.

What is kept

Messages you sent through MessageSomeone, and photos attached to them, stay in the other person's conversation and are shown from Deleted account, with no name, username, photo or other detail from your profile. If the other person has also deleted their account, the conversation's messages and photos are erased, unless a safety report needs them. Records of payments, subscriptions and payouts that the law requires us to keep, and reports and moderation decisions needed to keep people safe, are retained. Usage statistics stop pointing at you.

The shared SOMEONE sign-in identity (your sign-in email and passkeys at the sign-in service used by several SOMEONE products) is deleted together with your account, unless you still have data in ShareSomeone or ResearchSomeone. In that case it is kept until you delete that data there, so you can still sign in to them.

Other SOMEONE products

ShareSomeone and ResearchSomeone keep their own data separately and are not deleted with your SOMEONE account. Delete that data first at https://sharesomeone.com/delete-account and https://researchsomeone.com/delete-account.
